My inspiration comes from the desire to help women feel confident and beautiful in their own skin. I believe that fashion is not just about looking good, but feeling good too. That's why I offer a wide range of styles that are both trendy and comfortable.

My journey began in 2022, when I was on a journey to find myself.
I have always enjoyed fashion, being creative, and grew up riding and showing horses and have a huge love for all things western.

I have always enjoyed fashion, being creative, and grew up riding and showing horses and have a huge love for all things western.
I live in a small town, Cumberland, WI which is known for being called the "Island City" as we are surrounded by lakes. Being in a small town and having the support of all around me, made it only fitting to have their a tribute to the town in my business' name.
I have a wonderful husband, amazing daughter and the best fur baby a gal could ask for.
After a unfortunate work injury in 2019 which took me out of work in the medical field and a job I loved, I spent the next several years trying to find myself again.
Fast forward to 2023, I, Alyssa La Vaughn became the founder of Island City Hat Co.
I decided to turn my passion for fashion, love for all things western, and my creativity into a business I could call my own.
I started by selling custom hats, unique clothing, jewelry and my artistic visions- by using new and used items to create one of a kind fashion art at local markets, vendor events, pop-up shops, social media and quickly gained a following. I continue to add new ideas from fashion, accessories, to wall art, and who else knowns what will come along the way......
Today, Island City Hat Co. has grown into a thriving business that serves customers
all over the United States.

The vision of Island City Hat Co. is to become a leading fashion destination for women who want to look and feel their best with uniquely one of a kind fashion and art. I am constantly on the lookout for new styles and trends that will inspire my customers and keep them coming back for more.
My items are full of life as they are repurposed

My items are full of life as they are repurposed, recycled and reused along with new items i find that will add that special touch to finish off any outfit. When it comes to my custom items no two items will be the same. One of my greatest pleasures is shopping for the unique pendants, fabric, belts, buttons, feathes and whatever else I can find along the way. Please also note if you have a special item you want added to one of my custom products it would be my honor to add the item/items in.
